The PocketSabre 1820 comes with a twist on/off lens shroud, unbreakable ABS body with a hi-impact polycarbonate lens. It is submersible to 500 feet and features 400% more light than ordinary flashlightsFeaturing a rugged ABS resin body that resists chemicals, corrosion, and extreme temperatures and is faceted for secure gripping, this compact, 5.83-inch-long flashlight is submersible to 500 feet thanks to an o-ring seal and twist on/off lens shroud that eliminates leaky switches. A high-impact polycarbonate lens and pre-focused xenon lamp module produce a tight white beam that penetrates smoke and fog and is approximately four times as powerful as an ordinary flashlight's beam. A one-way "umbrella" valve allows gases to vent from the body to prevent excessive pressure buildup while blocking water entry when the flashlight is submerged. The flashlight is powered by two C alkaline batteries (not included) and weighs 8.3 ounces with batteries. Battery burn time is eight hours. An ABS resin utility clip with key ring secures the flashlight in a pocket.

Dave Parker, president of Pelican Products, has been an avid scuba diver since age 11.
